Turning Red is a 2022 American comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Directed by Domee Shi, in his first feature of the guide, and written by Shi and Julia Cho. The film stars the words of Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Ava Morse, Hyein Park, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Orion Lee, Wai Ching Ho, Tristan Allerick Chen, and James Hong.

Turning Red

Based in Toronto, Ontario in 2002, Turning Red is following in the footsteps of Meilin “Mei” Lee, a 13-year-old Chinese Canadian student who is transforming into a giant Red Panda when she is in a state of intense emotion.  The first Pixar film directed exclusively for women and the second to feature the leading Asian actor after Up (2009 ).

Special London

After a special London trial at Everyman Borough Yards on February 21, 2022, Turning Red had a global premiere on March 1, and was released on Disney + broadcasting service on March 11, with a simultaneous run in El Capitan. Theater and AMC Empire 25. Released as a theater in many countries without Disney +, and received serious praise for its story, humor, animation, voice play, and cultural usage.

In 2002, Meilin “Mei” Lee was a 13-year-old Chinese Canadian girl living in Toronto.
